Terms
Terms of use
These terms apply to every account with Reels by You, creators and brands alike. You accept them when you create an account or register a brand. In force from 16 September 2026, version 2026-09-16.
The short version
- Creators and brands agree on jobs and fees with each other. We handle the introduction and the delivery.
- A video a brand has approved and paid for is shown here as a work sample, with the creator's and the brand's names. This cannot be opted out of or withdrawn.
- The creator is responsible for everything in the video being cleared for use: music, images and any people who appear.
1. Who we are
Reels by You is operated by Megasocial AB, Swedish company registration number 556794-7527 ("we"). The service is available at ugcguiden.se and reelsbyyou.com. Send questions about these terms to info@ugcguiden.se.
2. Your account
The details you provide must be accurate, and you are responsible for what is done with your login. An account is personal. A brand is registered by someone authorised to act for it. We may close an account that breaches these terms or is used to deceive others.
3. Jobs and payment
The brand describes the job, what the video may be used for and what it pays. The agreement for the job is between the brand and the creator. We are not a party to it and do not receive the payment. The creator is responsible for their own tax. A creator without Swedish F-tax or an umbrella company can receive at most 900 SEK a year from jobs here, because the brand would otherwise become an employer under Swedish tax rules.
4. The videos
4.1 The creator's responsibility
When you upload a video you confirm that you made it and have the right to hand it over: that music, images and any other material in it may be used, and that everyone who can be seen or heard has agreed to it. Companies, products and trademarks unrelated to the job must not appear without permission.
4.2 The brand's rights
What the brand may do with the video is set by the job and by what the creator and the brand have agreed. The video can be downloaded in full quality only once the creator has confirmed that payment has arrived.
4.3 Our right to show the video
Once a brand has approved a video and payment has been confirmed, the creator grants Megasocial AB a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, worldwide right to store, display and distribute the video as a work sample on Reels by You and in marketing for the service. The video is shown with the creator's name and profile and the brand's name. We may resize and crop the video and take a still image from it in order to display it, but we will not re-edit its content.
This right cannot be terminated and continues if the account is closed. Copyright otherwise remains with the creator, and the brand's rights under 4.2 are unaffected.
4.4 The brand's consent
The brand agrees that videos it has approved and paid for are shown as set out in 4.3, with the brand's name. This cannot be opted out of, either for the brand as a whole or for a single job. A brand that does not want a video shown should not approve it here.
4.5 Videos are not removed
Neither the creator nor the brand can remove a submitted video. Videos that have not been approved and paid for are never shown. We remove a video when the law requires it or when it infringes someone's rights. Write to info@ugcguiden.se if you believe that applies to a video.
5. Our liability
We do our best to keep the service working but do not promise that it is always available or free of errors. We are not responsible for what creators and brands agree between themselves, for payments between them or for how a brand uses a video. We are not liable for indirect loss, such as lost profit. This does not limit any liability that cannot be limited by law.
6. Personal data
How we handle personal data is set out in the privacy policy.
7. Changes
We may change these terms. We announce significant changes in advance, and they must be accepted again before you upload your next video or post your next job. The right under 4.3 to videos already approved and paid for is not affected by a change.
8. Law and courts
These terms are governed by Swedish law. A dispute that cannot be resolved by talking to us is decided by the Swedish courts.
